The children's house, newly built in fall 2014, is located in house 9 on the first floor in the student village in Adlershof in the Berlin borough of Treptow/Köpenick and has rooms amounting to 250 sqm as well as an adjoining garden of 200 sqm in size. Construction began in the fall of 2013 and ended in October 2014. This student village, which consists of a total of 10 three-story houses, is located on the Adlershof campus in the immediate vicinity of Humboldt University. Within the site and in surrounding residential areas there are additional playgrounds and park areas. Directly next to the daycare center, a non-traffic path leads to the adjacent Adlershof Landscape Park.
The Kinderhaus has good transport connections: Adlershof S-Bahn station is three, Schöneweide S-Bahn station is six streetcar stops away. The streetcar station of the lines M17, 61 and 63 in Karl-Ziegler Straße is located directly at the student village. Buses on lines 162, 163 and 164 stop at Magnusstraße, just a five-minute walk away. The Adlershof exit of the city highway 113 is less than 5 minutes away.
